A lot has changed over the last 10 years since SQL Server 2005 was released. 10 years ago the iPod Nano was released and Google introduced a mapping service and YouTube was formed. A lot has changed in the world of technology and the data platforms required to support this has also changed, however many organisations are still running SQL Server 2005 to support critical workloads.
